February 2005 Fan of the Month: Anders Berghagen

If its hard to be a fan of the band in the Netherlands (fan of the month January 2005) its even harder here in Stockholm, Sweden! My buddies and me saw Southside Johnny in a concert (I think it was 1979) in Göta Källare, Stockholm, Sweden and we all got "trapped"! I have been to many concerts over the years but this was probably one of the best ever. After the concert we bought the album "Hearts of stone" and we loved it! In Sweden we have a very nice tradition called "midsummer" (20th of June) when the sun never goes down. People celebrate that summer is here and you go out camping and drink a lot of beer and have a nice time. This midsummer, I think it was 1979; my friends and me went out to the very nice archipelago of Stockholm and celebrated this special occasion. "Trapped again" was the song we all wanted to listen to but we did not have a record player or tape recorder in the camp so we dismounted the car stereo, loudspeaker and the car battery and carried the whole "sound system" to the camp and played the song over and over again. Still this is a memory that comes up now and then and I will never forget it.

Give my very best regards to Johnny and the band and I hope we them here in Stockholm sometime in the future!
