All right, Bill all right, dammit....I'll write a new jive, but GET OFF MY BACK!!!!!

Hi folks; it's me again. Sorry to disturb you (and I know some of you are VERY disturbed), but I have been told to scribble something for the website or face the wrath of the Durborow. We wouldn't want that, would we?...at least I wouldn't.

Many people (3) have asked "What's with the More Ruff Stuff CD that you gave out New Years, huh?"  Well, ya see, when I heard what they were charging for New Years, I thought it was high and that I should give you something special to keep as a pimento. Soooo, we scrambled like crazy to get a new CD pressed before the 31st. Like the first Ruff Stuff, it is
made up of song demos I did with the supremely gifted Matt Noble about 7 years ago. I always liked the songs, and when I heard them again for the first time in years, I liked them even more. I know they're not finished, but I thought they sounded pretty good. I enjoyed hearing them and I hope you did, too. By the way, if you were there on New Years and
didn't get a CD, send your unpunched ticket stub to:

Paul Ressler
1540 Kuser Road A-2
Hamilton, NJ 08619

and he'll send one out to you.

As to the songs on More Ruff Stuff; here 'tis:

1. Somebody To Love You:  This here's a song I got offa ol' Delbert McClinton. He lives here in Nashburgervilletown, and gave me a demo of it. He then decided to put it on his own CD, so we held off on formally recording it. I like it a lot, and may put it in the show. Whadya think?

2. Gladly Go Blind: A song written by a terrific British soul singer named Frankie Miller. I met him a coupl'a times, and he sent me this demo. Don't know if he ever recorded it.

3. 99 Degrees: I wrote this with Matt Noble and Keith Reid, who wrote for Procol Harum way back then. Bobby B does his usual sensuous thing on guitar...that dog.

4. I Will Be Strong:  Written when I was still married. Fat lot of good it did me.

5. Christmas Is for Everyone: Oh boy! People have bugged me for years to do a Xmas record. Why! Do I look like a merry elf or something! Sheeesh. Anyway, this was written by Matt and me just to see if we could do it.  Next comes a re-make of the Monster Mash. OY!

Well, enough of that.
The Illustrious Jukes (and pitiful me) will be touring a lot this spring and summer, RIGHT BILL!... and  we hope to see the whole mangy crew of you out there....remember; if you don't come see us play, we'll have to get real jobs, and some of us could end up in government or medicine or even become cops. You don't want that. Really, you don't.

Keep Smilin'
