It has come to my attention that there are some misguided wretches on the Juke-line who are bruiting about the rumour that we are "working" on a new CD. This is patently NOT TRUE! We are artistes, and artistes do not "work." We create, we envision. In this case, we are endeavoring to capture the elusive butterfly of musical love that flits through the verdant fields of the Jukian mind. Put THAT in yer pipe and smoke it! Work, indeed. If I'da wanted to work, I'da gotten a real job.

Having said all that, there has been progress on a new CD. Some of the titles so far are "Baby Don't Lie," "I Won't Sing," two Jeff Kazee tunes, "Lost" and "Change For You," and some others I can't remember right now cause I'm senile, OK? We may also include "Somebody to Love You" by Delbert Mcclinton, which is on More Ruff Stuff, but this will be a full band remake, not a demo. Audience fave "Tired Skin" has also been recorded, and there is a possibility of one or two Dusty Springfield remakes. The bulk of the material will be new songs by me, Kazee, Bobby, and whomever else we can con into contributing to this blight on the face of the earth. When it will be foisted on the unsuspecting public, like, I dunno. Right now we are shut out of our free studio because Jon Bon Jovi, who calls himself my friend, has decided to make another CD with his little band. You know how kids are; they have to have what they want RIGHT NOW! I guess I'll actually have to spend some money on this crap…..oh, well.

Bill' Simon LaGree" Durborow has sent out his henchmen to dragoon us Jukes into working this summer. No rest for the wicked, he says. Do you know he takes 80% of the money we earn? He tells me that's a standard rate. I wonder……

Anywhosomehowway, the upshot is that the poor ol' world will once again be faced with a plague of Jukes this year, and, so far, science has been helpless to stop the madness. Heaven save us all!!!! Well, all except Louie; he can take care of hisself.
