Just so happy and thankful that the Jukes are coming to the Netherlands and especially to my local town again!
I asked for it many many times and finally my prayers have been answered.
I missed you guys SO MUCH!
Can't wait to see you all next saturday in the Oosterpoort in Groningen! Looking forward to it soooo much. Till then!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! XXX

We had one going, but then it fell someplace under the stage where we couldn't get to it.

Johnny was asking for requests, and I thought something by Steve Van Zandt would sound nice, then this happens.

The band was on fire for their Nashville debut at City Winery. The room was amazing. It was a wall of sound washing over with Johnny's voice as soothing as a warm Gulf wave in August. Not the best recording, but here's my favorite track from Soultime". It's all I can do to keep it together listening to Johnny and Jeff trade verses.

trevor, " very special guest " is simple a technical term for a support act TBA. could be absolutely anyone. have to say over many years there has been chat on here about billy rush. where is he, what is he doing. etc etc. he had become very reclusive it seemed. it was a great pleasure and so pleased to see a photo of billy with the band. we can now put all our thoughts and rumours to bed so to speak.

Southside was his usual hilarious self in Coral Springs {a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale}. At one point started bragging about his new sneakers only to tell us how uncomfortable they are. Sat down on the drum riser while the band played and took them off {called Hood for scissors because he couldn't get the laces undone on one of them} and did half the show barefoot. We knew they were uncomfortable because even after he took them off he swore a lot more than usual. Crowd loved it and heard at least one reference from the audience to At Least We Got Shoes.

Also surprised us by announcing that Mr. & Mrs. Billy Rush were in the audience. Billy didn't get up and play and I left before seeing him after the show so I don't know if he got mobbed. Hope he did - he was an important part of that band when they was growin' up.
